Redwood Trees - A Retelling with Sock Puppets

We have been playing with technology in the classroom.  Our PTO was kind enough to gift our class our very own I-Pad!!!  We have researched some fun apps and will play a bit with the best ways to use them in the classroom.

This morning I found some quiet, hard working students to help me.  We used the Sock Puppet app to make a retelling of the book Michael Fey and the Giant Redwoods.

I am playing the part of the dog-type character.  My students are playing the part of the zebra!
Thank you to (in order of appearance) Will, Lexi, Elise and Jacob S. for their retelling!

And....in case you can't understand those cute little voices, here is the transcript:
Will:  Redwood Trees are special because they are one of the biggest things on earth.
Lexi:  Redwood trees can grow up to 300 feet.
Elise:  Redwood trees grow in California.
Jacob S.:  They need wet warm weather.

More to come!!!
