Science Investigation

We have been learning about matter in science.
This week we have focused on solids and properties of solids.

We know that solids can be
rigid, flexible, smooth, rough, hard, soft, etc.

On Monday we used solid objects to build towers!
Our challenge was to use the properties of the
different solids to build the highest tower we could.

Here are the towers and the measurements for their height!

Jack and Gowri - 11 inches tall

 Josie - 6 inches tall

Ethan and Benjamin - 7 inches tall

Jacob S. and Shawn - 5 inches tall

THE TALLEST...
Amelia and Lexi - 15 1/2 inches tall

Mckenna and Elise - 6 inches tall

Meg and Audrey - 9 inches tall

Some of us needed to work on our smooth/fluent reading.
Some of us needed to work on reading with expression.
Some of us needed to work on being brave and reading in front of an audience.

ALL of us had fun practicing!!
