We are moving right along in 4th grade!
We have had so much fun with our science unit.
We conquered magnetism and electricity.
We made circuits and learned words like:
d-cell, electricity source, electricity receiver, closed circuit,
open circuit and schematic diagrams.
We have worked on the following reading strategies:
- Previewing and Predicting: Skimming the text and predicting what may happen.
- Monitoring and Clarifying: Checking for understanding while we read.
- Making Connections: Saying "that reminds me of...." to better understand the text.
We have immersed ourselves in writing a realistic fiction story.
We created a moment, developed a main character and created a problem and solution.
We are now doing to hard work of developing the plot!
All the while, becoming a team and earning a party for our wonderful transitions!
It is a fun, busy little class!!!!
