I wasn't sure my students would enjoy ANY science units as

much as they enjoyed MAGNETS and ELECTRICITY....

BUT

LANDFORMS are fun!!!

Here we are creating a river with "rain water" and watching

erosion and deposition at work with the sediment (sand).

Ask your child if they can talk about these parts of a river...

Red Ribbon Week is this week! 

\We will talk about Staying DRUG-FREE!!

We will have Spirit Days from Oct. 28-Oct. 30.

Wednesday:  "Staying Drug Free is No Sweat!"

Wear sweats or active wear!

Thursday:  "Give Drugs the Boot!"

Wear boots to school!

Friday:  "Red Out"

Wear red to school!

Figurative Language!

We worked on some very FANCY writing this week!

We learned about examples of Figurative Language...

You know - similes, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, alliteration, idioms...

Ask your brilliant 4th grader if he/she can give you examples of these!

Now, ask them if they can spell onomatopoeia!!!

Prepare to be impressed!!!

Here is a "Cheat Sheet" if you need to give them clues...

Our week!

We worked with our First Grade Buddies today!

We had to synergize, put first things first, be proactive and seek first to understand

in order to get the hula hoop around the circle!!!

Our fourth graders were such AWESOME leaders with the first graders!

SO MUCH FUN!

LOOOOVE the leadership t-shirts from the PTO!!!

We also had Student Council Elections today.

I was so impressed with the posters and the preparation involved in writing speeches!  

Great job, kids!
