We had a wonderful time reading the book Charlotte's Web in class.

Our afternoon read aloud is our favorite time of day.

Being able to see the stage production of Charlotte's Web was such a treat!

We were such a good audience, we made CE proud!!!!

Since the year started we have been working on Narrative Writing.

We have worked on writing true stories  about our lives with...

Capitalization
Punctuation
Good Sentence Structure
A Beginning Sentence
3 or More Details and
An Ending Sentence.

Now...we are ready for Informational Writing!

This week we thought of topics that we could choose from...

We worked at our seats on our writing.

And table 2 got to conference with Mrs. McElwee!

We planned our writing together and set individual goals!

And at the end....our favorite part...Table 2 SHARED our writing with the microphone!!!

Jacob Selm

Jacob's favorite animal is a penguin.

He loves the movies Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs I and II.

He has a pet Hermit Crab named Coco.

Jacob loves to go out to eat and play video games.

He also looooooooves Beanie Balls!

Our New Class Pets

They are not furry.

They are not cuddly.

Some may not think they are cute.

Most are excited to meet our new class pets...

We created compost bins and we will observe how the soil changes over time.  

The "thumbs down kids" were not interested in touching our new pets!
