Fact VS. Opinion

We have been working on understanding the difference between

FACT and OPINION!

We have been working so hard on our animal research that the kids are FACT experts!

Today we read a book about Pond Life with a partner.

Partners had to make a statement about the book...

either tell a fact or an opinion and put it on a post it note.

We sorted all the statements and put them on a 

FACT VS OPINION Chart.

THEY DID GREAT!!

We are wrapping up our unit asking "How Are Animals Different?"

Next week we will begin to ask:

"What's Wild About Weather?"

100th day of School!

We are celebrating the 100th Day of School today!

We will have activities all day that involve the number 100!

First....a silly picture of what we will look like as 

100 year olds!

And....as painful as it is...here are some of the adults in our building!!!

We are officially 100 Days Smarter!!!

First Outdoor Recess in over a MONTH....and the sun is SHINING!!

So good to be outside again!!!

The BEST Friday ....EVER!!!!!

You won't believe the Friday we are having!!!

First....Our class was selected to sing this wonderfully sweet song in honor 

of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on LIVE announcements this morning.

Then...We were selected to be the CLASS OF THE WEEK for 

our awesome behavior at Carmel Elementary!!!

So, now we get a bonus recess!!

And then...I found out that our very own Jacob Harlemert

and his family recognized me with a 

Carmel Education Foundation Honor Roll!!!

Thank you so much, Jacob!!!

This has been such a wonderful week - we have all enjoyed school so much!

What a great way to end the week!!

2 Hour Delay Days -- more productive than you may think!!

When we have 2 Hour Delays, 

we alter our schedule to ensure that as much instruction takes place as possible!

We do not have recess and we lose 1/2 of our Specials time.

That way I have an additional hour of instruction that I can put into the afternoon!

We make each and every day count in Room 2!

Here we are on Friday!  "Fun Reading Friday" has become a day we all look forward to!

This past Friday we chose....Partner Reading!

We have been working on Fascinating Facts.  

This is my favorite time of our day - we are

ENGAGED, PRODUCTIVE and HAPPY!!
